While you take a shower or a bath every day, you have to clean your shower and bathtub regularly to keep your shower and bathtub as well as yourself clean.

No need to doubt, the first thing to do before you actually clean your shower or bathtub is to clear out all the shampoo and liquid soap bottles or whatever. You do not need them for your cleaning and by leaving them there, you will certainly find them as “obstacles” later. For easy to restore them to their position, you may put them all into a bucket.

Begin your cleaning with a rinse first. You should rinse the floor and the walls with hot water. This help to get some of the bigger and less sticky dirt and stains off from the wall and floor.

Then you may wish to clean the drain first as you wish the dirty water to flow away. If you have long hairs, it is an even more important part of works for your shower cleaning. Unscrew the drain cap and wrap your hand with a plastic bag. Use a crochet hook or your finger to pull the hairs out.

To remove the dirt, mildew, stain and soap scum, you can try market ones or the homemade ones. For market ones, the popular ones include Church & Dwight. It offers a Scrub Free soap scum cleaner, Scrub Free mildew stain remover and Arm & Hammer daily scum and mildew preventer.

The SCRUB FREE Soap Scum Remover helps dissolve soap scum on your shower walls and doors leaving them shiny and bright. A fresh lemon scent also comes along with such cleaning power. The SCRUB FREE Mildew Stain Remover helps clean those stubborn mildew stains fast and leaves behind a fresh scent too! The Arm & Hammer daily scum and mildew preventer can prevent soap scum build-up for every day purpose.

You may also try Mr.Clean reach scrubbing tub and shower pad. But to do that, you should first get their mop. Many users like this Mr. Clean pad very much for its powerful cleaning power and easy to use nature.

Other than the Church & Dwight, you can also homemade the cleaner for yourself. Basically what you need are vinegar and baking soda. Remove mildew. Mix 1 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1 cup ammonia, and a gallon and a half of hot water, then use a sponge to apply the mixture onto the shower walls and doors. For water stain, you can try mixing vinegar and hot water at equal portion to scrub the stain. You can increase the portion of vinegar if you want a more effective one. Vinegar can also be used to clean the shower curtain. As the shower curtain can be made of plastic, it is not recommended to soak the curtain for too long and by using a too concentrated vinegar solution.

Taking a shower is probably one of the easiest and most effective release from you busy work day. As you enjoy your shower, it is so disgusting or annoying to see the dirt and water stain on the shower heads.

To clean your shower head, the simplest way can be purchasing shower cleaners such as Arm and Hammer and Church & Dwight . The product helps prevents soap scum and mildew stains. There is no scrubbing, rinsing, fumes, chlorine or bleach required.

Other than the usual way that the direction teaches you, you can try this method. First use a plastic bag to hold the cleaners at around half full. Secure the bag (with shower head cleaner) onto the shower head. Wait for around 15 minutes or according to the directions of respective cleaners. Then remove the bag.

Or, even better, you should remove the shower head from the wall if you can. Put it into s bucket of cleaners or vinegar as described below. Soak it in the cleaners for a while or overnight for vinegar. You will find the stains and whatever clogs the holes in the shower head easier to clean. You can use a toothbrush to scrub the shower head. If you still find the holes are clogged, you can use toothpicks to clean them.

Finally, you just have to rinse the shower head with water thoroughly to wash away all the chemical cleaners.

If you have been bored by the many harmful effects of chemical cleaners, you can choose natural cleaners for your shower head. Use them to scrub your shower head. Mix hot or warm water with vinegar. Put the mixture into a spray bottle and wipe clean the shower head. You can try to mix equal portion of water and vinegar first. If you find the mixture is not really effective in cleaning the water stain or soap scum, increase the portion of vinegar.

Vinegar not lonely cleans away the soap scum and water stain, it can also help sanitize the shower head.

You can also use toothpaste to brush the shower head in order to keep your shower head shiny.

If you find that the soap scum and water stains are extremely troublesome and hard to clean, it is to remind you that you should clean the shower head more often. As the accumulated stains or scum will make it even more difficult to clean! Always clean the soap scum when you first catch it and dry the water after suing the shower.
